Privacy Policy – Quick Files for Gmail

Summary

The extension does not collect, store, transmit or sell any personal data. All processing happens locally in your browser.

How data is handled

• When you ask to see a thread's files, the extension reads that thread from Gmail itself (mail.google.com) using your existing signed-in session, and lists its attachments: name, size, sender and date.
• PDF and image previews are rendered inside your browser with the bundled pdf.js library.
• Downloads are saved directly to your computer through Chrome's download manager.
• The file list is kept in the tab's memory for a few minutes to avoid reloading, and is discarded when Gmail is closed or refreshed.

What the extension does not do

• No external servers, no analytics, no ads, no tracking cookies.
• Email and attachment content is never sent to anyone, including the developer.
• No sign-in, no Gmail API and no OAuth access are used.

Permissions

downloads – to save files with tidy names (date_sender_name). contextMenus – to add "Thread files" to the right-click menu. Access to mail.google.com and mail-attachment.googleusercontent.com – to read the thread's attachment list and show previews.

The use of information received from Gmail complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
